What to expect when we upgrade your Electrical Service
Old panels like this Federal Pacific Electric (FPE) are unsafe and should be upgraded to ensure safety and make room for new circuits.
One of our licensed electricians will come to your location and take a look at your existing system. That allows us to be able to give you a written, upfront, FREE Estimate.
When you accept our estimate we will schedule a day to come out and remove all the old equipment. Safely and efficiently we are able to turn off the power, remove all the old panel and meter and install your new, up-to-date electrical system. All in one day your power will be restored and your new safe system will be protecting you.
Your new system will look something like this. It will have a new 200 amp rated meter socket with a lever bypass, a new 200 amp panel with a main breaker and capacity up to 80 breakers, a new grounding system with 2 new 8 foot ground rods and a cold water bond to your main water pipe, with an overhead fed service you will get a 2 inch galvanized rigid conduit and 4/0 XHHW wire. With all service upgrades we install a whole house Surge Arrestor, so you and your appliances will be protected. We install a bonding bridge so the low voltage guys have a convenient grounding location. We will label the breakers to the general area they serve. Finally we can pull all the needed permits and have anything you would like inspected.
